Many of Tom’s painting’s are in his traditional style of bright, vivid colours inspired by nature’s palette. The bright colours experienced in sunsets and sunrises, the contrast of shadows and silhouettes and the path of light from the sun to its target are all heavily influential in his work. He has the ability to switch between soft hazy images, reminiscent of long hot summers to intricately detailed paintings revealing hidden life on the rainforest floor. Nature is evident in much of Toms work, be it on one of his garden furniture pieces, trompe l’oeil or in a giant mural. |
